MINES RESCUE TEAM
Curragh Mine has 24 hour Emergency Response Team (ERT) coverage supported by a team of highly skilled Fire and Rescue members consisting of Curragh and Contractor employees.
All members of the Curragh ERT are trained extensively in fire and rescue operations enabling the team to respond with efficiency to any on or off site emergency.
In January 2011 Curragh Management recognised the need to have the ERT skills mapped to a nationally recognised training package and commenced aligning all rescue training to RII30711 Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue.
